Performance at a care home Carey Care
In June, Carey Care invited us to visit and tell their residents about Latvian culture, as well as perform a few dances for them! It was a real pleasure to share something that is so close and dear to our hearts. A big thank you to the residents for their interest and for getting involved in the conversations!
VPDK Jautrais Pāris anniversary concert
At the end of May, we travelled to Straumēni to join other Latvian folk dance groups from across the UK in celebrating the 10th anniversary of London’s dance group “Jautrais Pāris”! A big thank you to the anniversary group for a wonderful event and a lively celebration after the concert. As was said during the evening - it was a party in Jautrais Pāris style!

10th Cultural Days in Leicester
Over one long weekend in May, Londona Dejo travelled to the heart of England - Leicester. Together with around 40 other Latvian folk dance groups, we took part in Leicester’s Cultural Days. We joined the festive parade and performed at the concert in St Peter’s Square, as well as at the main concert in Jubilee Square. It was wonderful to see all our dance friends again and bring Leicester to life with Latvian culture and dance! See you at the next Cultural Days in Edinburgh!
Dejo Ar Mani
One sunny weekend in mid-February, we travelled to Aberdeen to dance in the “Dejo Ar Mani” concert! It was especially exciting to perform “Svētku Sēta” in the UK for the first time - one of the choreographers of this dance is our very own dancer, Ariāna Ezers! A huge thank you to the concert organisers - we danced the night away until dawn!
Sanāciet, sadziediet, sadancojiet
On 22 November 2025, we celebrated the 107th anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic of Latvia in London with songs, dances and other performances! At the end of the concert, we joined forces with VPDK Jautrais Pāris and TDK Salinieki for a combined performance of Jānis Purviņš dance “Rūnu Raksti”! It was also a great pleasure to collaborate with the London Latvian Choir, who provided the live musical accompaniment for the final dance!

At the beginning of August 2025, we joined with TDK Salinieki and travelled to 'Sidraba Birzs' in Mežaparks to perform in the dance epic “Düna” - dancing to music and singing along to songs, together with 8,000 other participants!
